I think it’s great that signers from outside Venice, and even outside Italy, can see their efforts to support this petition are appreciated!

I signed gladly. Even a non-resident like me can see that these proposals, if carried out, would be disastrous. So many people think about saving Venice, but I wonder how many think about saving Venetians. ( My mother lives on an island where incomers are pricing locals out of the housing market, so it’s a problem I have some knowledge of ).

Hi Jil!

Good question. These paragraphs (or some version of them) are pretty standard when signing Italian things online. The first says that you have read the above, that you are not a minor, and that they can use your information provided for internal use and for whatever it takes to effectuate the signing of the petition. They will not be passing it around, however.

The second says this is your opinion (not that of firmiamo.it) and that you assume all responsibility for it.

I checked both; I don’t think you can avoid it. I should probably stick this info up in the post, you think?

nan what are the two accepto paragraphs at the end say…..and do you check either or?
